Chris' research focuses on measuring how firms are performing. He has been actively researching and publishing for 12 years at universities in Canada, New Zealand and Australia. He was the founding member of the Discipline of Marketing at the University of Sydney. His current research projects focus on how to determine whether a firm is succeeding or failing. He has published papers in leading academic journals such as Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Management, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Asia Pacific Marketing and various other journals in Australia and overseas.

Much of Chris' work focuses on determining the best way to measure things for both accuracy and business effectiveness. This includes consulting assignments for firms ranging from very small (e.g. Netagi, a firm of fewer than ten people) to very large (Commonwealth Bank and Telstra) and everything in between.

Chris is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy, the American Marketing Association, Institute for Operations Research and Management Science, and the Academy of Marketing Science.
