What is an UltraFeedback Earthwatch Fellowship?
UltraFeedback is offering one employee and one customer from its client group the opportunity to join an Earthwatch research expedition of their choice in 2008.
UltraFeedback will fund the travel and expedition costs to the value of $7,000.
There are 130 research projects in 50 countries to choose from.

Earthwatch Institute is an independent, non profit environmental organisation.
Their mission is to engage people worldwide in scientific research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment.
Earthwatch gives people the opportunity to be involved in scientific field research by becoming a member of a research team.
What is included in the Fellowship?
- A place on an Earthwatch project of your choice.
- food & accommodation
- all transport during the research project
- research permits & equipment
- Full training in all research methods
- Detailed briefing materials
- Travel to and from the rendezvous point
- A one-year membership of Earthwatch & tee-shirt
Total expedition & travel costs to the value of $7,000
If successful, what are my responsibilities?
Participants must undertake all necessary preparation for the project, as set out in the Earthwatch briefing materials including undergoing a health check by a recognised medical practitioner.
Participants must contribute fully as a member of the research team for the duration of the project.
On your return participants will be required to complete an evaluation and write a detailed report about their experiences.
How do I apply?
Applying is a simple, two-step process:
- Visit the Earthwatch website at www.earthwatch.org.au and select a project
- Go to www.ultrafeedback.com/survey/508 and complete the online questionnaire. It is short and simple!

Who is eligible to apply for a Fellowship?
- all employees of UltraFeedback and their immediate families (ie parents, siblings, partner, children over 18 years of age)
- Any employee from UltraFeedback's client group
- all applicants must be over 18 years of age
- successful applicants must meet the minimum fitness requirements for the project they select.
What is the selection process?
The UltraFeedback board and Earthwatch will assess
applications based on your answers in the online application questionnaire.
Applications will be assessed using the following criteria:
- A willingness to learn both personally and professionally from the project
- An ability to share your experience with peers and the wider community
- A willingness to work in a team to face challenges and adapt to change
- pplicants will be notified about the outcome of the program on 14 December 2007
