Lynn Ware of GAMBRO is UltraFeedback's Earthwatch Fellowship 2009 recipient
As part of its long held support of Earthwatch, the international scientific not-for-profit environmental organisation, UltraFeedback recently announced the recipient of its annual Earthwatch Fellowship. Lynn Ware, Managing Director of GAMBRO, will take part in an expedition to Tsavo in Kenya to help protect the legendary maneless lions and find ways for lions and local communities to live side by side. Lynn will help photograph lion whisker patterns (for identification) and videotape and record behaviour.
Lynn follows Jenny Hamilton of ROCHE (previously Ventana) who in 2008 also attended Tsavo to assist with an Elephant related conservation programme. The UltraFeedback Earthwatch fellowship is available each year to the value of $7000 for one employee and one client whom demonstrates a desire to make a positive change to the environment through their own actions. The ability to communicate their experience to others upon their return is an important selection criterion.
UltraFeedback has been supporting Earthwatch for a number of years, and recently conducted pro-bono research on their behalf to understand the motivations and degree of engagement of the Earthwatch supporter base.
